Workshop information (English)

旧暦の時間軸で日本の年中行事を見つめなおす体験型ワークショップ、「旧暦カフェ」。 来る2021年10月3日（日）と9日（土）に、東京・小金井市 小金井市立はけの森美術館にて旧暦カフェを開催いたします。

今年のテーマは「お盆」です。
日本や海外の「お盆」の行事は、どのようなものがあるのでしょうか？
江戸の「紋切り」や、自然素材を使ったワークショップを行い、旧暦の暮らしの体験をします。

さまざまな「お盆のかたち」を知り、ともに考える。私の「お盆棚」をつくってみよう。

毎年決まった時期に先祖を迎え、そして送り返すという「お盆」の風習。
これには、いったいどのような意味があるのでしょうか？

「お盆」とひとくちにいっても、地方によって、家庭によって、驚くほど違う「お盆のかたち」と流儀があるようです。
すでにそのような風習から縁遠くなってしまっている人もいるでしょう。
それでもこの時期、スーパーにはお盆用品や供物が並び、
先祖や死者について思いを馳せる機会も多いのではないでしょうか。
また、日本に住む様々な国の出身の方にも、それぞれ「お盆」にあたる行事があるのでしょうか？

そんなことも聞いてみたい。話してみたい。

さまざまな「お盆のかたち」を学び、ともに「語り合い」、
その中に込められた祖先の世界観を読み解いていきましょう。

内容：旧家の方のお話を伺ったり、お盆の古い資料や絵、写真や記録映像を見たりします。外国の方へのインタビューも紹介。
そして、江戸の「紋切り」や自然の素材を使って「私の盆棚」を作ったあと、はけの森美術館の庭に、小さな「お盆のかたち」を展示します。

第18回 旧暦カフェ・ワークショップ
令和3年度江戸文化体験事業×国際交流事業×はけの森美術館
「知る、やってみる旧暦カフェ2」
日時：
2021年10月3日（日）10:00-16:00
2021年10月、9日（土）10:00-16:00
（両日とも同じプログラムを行います。いずれかご都合の良い日にご参加ください。）

場所：小金井市立はけの森美術館　多目的講義室（小金井市中町1丁目11番3号）
定員：各日10人（応募者多数の場合抽選）
対象：市内在住、在勤、在学の 小学生以上の方（小学生は保護者同伴）および日本に住む様々な国の出身の方
参加費：無料
持ち物：昼食、飲み物（各自必ず持参）、長袖シャツ(虫よけ用)、マスク（ご着用下さい）
※熱中症予防のため飲み物は必ずお持ちください。なお、美術館付近には、コンビニエンスストア等昼食を購入できるお店はありません。
※ワークショップ中に隣接の美術の森緑地に出ますが、蚊が多くいます。長袖シャツをご用意いただく他、虫よけ等各自で対策をお願いします。

Let’s learn, share and discuss about various forms of Obon, and make your own Obon-dana!
The custom of “Obon”, is to welcome and send back the ancestors at a certain season every year. It seems that each region and family has its own way of doing Obon, which is surprisingly different.

In this workshop, we will learn and experience the customs of Obon.
We will also discuss similar customs in different countries, and make our own “Obon-dana(=shelf)”.
Please let us hear about the customs of your own country.
No interpreter is provided, but English speaking staff is available.

Your mask, lunch, drinks and long sleeved clothing
There are no convenience stores or other places to buy lunch near the museum.
There are many mosquitos in the forest next to the venue, please bring long-sleeved shirts and insect repellent if necessary.
